According to its working principle, concrete mixers can be divided into two categories: self-falling and forced.Self-falling concrete mixer is suitable for mixing plastic concrete.

The mixing effect of the forced mixer is stronger than that of the free-fall mixer, and it is suitable to mix dry hard concrete and light aggregate concrete.

Concrete mixer is a machine that mixes sand, stone, cement, water and other materials with a certain mixing ratio into uniform concrete that meets quality requirements. According to different mixing principles, concrete mixers can be divided into two types: self-falling and forced.

(1) Self-standing mixer

The inner wall of the mixing drum of the self-falling mixer is welded with arc-shaped blades. When the mixing drum rotates around the horizontal axis, the blade continuously raises the material to a certain height, and then falls freely, blending with each other.

(2) Forced mixer

The forced mixer mainly mixes the material according to the shearing mechanism. There are blades in the mixer that rotate with the mixing shaft.

(3) Selection and application of mixer

1) Model selection

The concrete mixer should be correctly selected according to the specific conditions of the project (such as the size of the project, the length of the construction period, etc.) and the performance requirements for concrete.

2) Calculation of the production capacity of the mixer

The productivity of the mixer Q is calculated as follows:

Q = 3.6VK / t1t2t3 (m3 / h)

In the formula, t1, t2, and t3——respectively the loading, stirring, and unloading time (S);

V——discharge capacity of mixer;

K——Utilization factor of working time per cycle.
